Wine Festival, Castelbuono (south of Cefalù)
When? 29 - 31 July 2017
There are bands playing, famous enologists and lots of wine tasting at this celebration of Sicilian wine. A beautiful town surrounded by countryside makes for a stunning backdrop to the festival, and you can learn all about Sicilian wine and meet both Italian and international wine producers.

Sagra dell'Olio (olive oil festival), Furnari
When? 31 July 2017
Taking place high in the Nebrodi Mountains around 100km from Taormina, experience local olive oil at its best. Sample with bread, brushette and olives, all washed down with some fantastic local wine, whilst enjoying local music and festivities.

Ortigia Film Festival, Syracuse
When? 15 – 22 July 2017
Taking place on the isle of Ortigia, which is the historic centre of the city of Syracuse. Presenting a fantastic programme of films and events, both national and international, guests will be sure to enjoy the buzz around the town as this is one of Syracuse’s most anticipated events. Visit Minerva Arena, where there’s a large screen set up along the cathedral wall, Logoteta Arena and Casina Minniti – acting as an information point, where the audience can vote for their favourite films.

Marzamemi International Film Festival di Frontiera
When? 24 – 30 July 2017
Another film festival, this time taking place in one of the most picturesque fishing villages in Sicily, Marzamemi. Celebrating all things film, this festival brings together all manner of film-makers and actors.
